Clutching the edge of the precipice with face in gritty dirt fears rise and smother my ragged breath. Panic in the throat as the reality of abandonment latches on. Not good enough, and Unworthy jump on for the death knell.
These foes are ancient, I have averted their gaze for many, many lifetimes, but like the best of friends they have never left my side. Now too weak to resist, I allow the inevitable. Turning, I face my teachers, allies, and loved ones.
Wracked with sobs I open and welcome to my bosom. Come, let us be at peace and oneness, finally. Linger for a while, here with me, tell me your story and perhaps, I will share mine.
